Eva Garner

Eva Davis Garner, age 89, of Houston, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Houston to the late Lewis and Gladys McDonald Davis. Eva was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. Eva is survived by her loving family great-greatdaughter, Aurora Gordon; nephews, Dwayne Meador, Lewis Meador and his wife Serena all of Edna; aunt, Faye McDonald; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Eva is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Garner; son, Charles Lewis Romans; sisters, Betty Paul and Esta Williams King. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17, in the Oaklawn Funeral Home chapel with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Edna. Pastor Andrew Schroer will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. 361-782-2221.
