Eva Jean Swinea Ferguson

    Eva Jean-Swinea Ferguson, 85, was born on October 22, 1933 in Flatonia, Texas to the late Charles Sylvester Swinea and Dixie Mae Rightmer-Swinea. She passed with her beloved family present on Monday, June 24, 2019.     Eva had a blessed life, a family reared in the church, a good roof over her head, loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all the Love of the Lord in her heart and soul. Eva was also a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and dear friend who will be truly missed.     Eva is survived by her loving children, Sandra (Sandi) Ferguson Bryant and husband Dan, Darrell Wayne Ferguson and wife Janet; grandchildren, Kerry (Carmen) Bryant, Alisha (Stephen) Salisbury, Jason (Rebecca) Bryant, Skye Ferguson (Michael) Smith, and Zachary J. (Samantha) Ferguson; eleven great grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members and friends.     Her loving husband, Albert Joe Ferguson, precedes her in death.     Memorials may be made in her name to Baptist Temple Church, 1001 N Wells Street, Edna, Texas 77957.     Visitation was at 1 p.m. on June 29 followed by  funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 29, at the Baptist Temple Church with Pastor Ryan Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.     Pallbearers were Zachary J. Ferguson, Michael Smith, Kerry Bryant, Jason Bryant, Cody Bradley, and Stephen Salisbury.     Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home, Edna, 782-2221.
