Francisco Antonio “Tony” Salinas
Francisco Antonio “Tony” Salinas, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born in Olivia, Texas, on September 17, 1947, to the late Jose and Louisa Martinez Salinas.
Tony was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, who will be dearly missed. His love for his family was endless.
Tony is survived by his daughters, Diana Salinas of Lake Jackson, Margie Salinas (Connie) of Angleton, Veronica Reyes (Ernesto) of Lake Jackson; and Son, Francisco Antonio Salinas, Jr. of Edna. Sisters: Mickey Hernandez and Janie Diaz, both of Edna. Blessed Friend, Rosie Salinas of Edna; Blessed extended daughters Jennifer DelaGarza (David) of Austin, Alice Ruedas of Austin, Aundrea Barnes (Jimmy) of Edna: and Son, Mario Mojica (Stefanie) of Edna. Twenty-seven Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Genero Salinas, Jerry Salinas, Steve Salinas, Sandy Salinas, Martin Salinas, and Cruz Salinas.
Pallbearers will be: Frank Alderete, Paul Alderete, Jason Hernandez, Jon Reyes, Mario Mojica, Jon Salinas, Joseph Salinas, and Matthew Pohl
Honorary pallbearers: Veotis Lee Ware and all of Tony’s Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna, Texas. Followed by burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado, Texas.
