Frederick S. Stanford Jr.

Frederick “Fred” S. Stanford Jr., 89, of Edna, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Fred was born on March 31, 1029 in Victoria, Texas to Fredrick S. Stanford Sr. and Myrtle Ann Jank.     Fred and his family have been long time farmers and ranchers in Jackson County.     Fred is survived by his wife of 58 years, Aleine Stanford; daughter Theresa Hankins and her husband Joey; sons Roy Dale Stanford and Frederick Sharpe Stanford III and his wife Kassie; his seven grandchildren, Logan, Connor, and Dylan Smith, Dennis Wood Jr., Kara and Jordan Sparks, and Westin Hankins.     He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Gregory Stanford.     There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 9 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna with Rev. Michael Petering officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Inez.     In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church or the choice of the donor.     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna. 361-782-2152.
