Garth Myers

Garth Cedric Myers, 81, of Edna, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to James U. Myers and Mylia Virginia Myers. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elsie Sablatura Myers of Edna; sons, Pat (Susan) Myers, Michael (Paula) Myers, Stanley (Debbie) Myers; daughters, Rhonda (Benny) Mumme, Natalie (Brian) Novia and Julie (Shannon) Srp; their 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie (Steve) Hubbard and Deborah Furman.     He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Garland Gene Myers.     There will be a visitation on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna. Funeral Mass will be Monday, Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Edna.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Saint Vincent DePaul Society and Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund at St. Agnes Catholic Church.     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.
