George D. Orzabal

     George D. Orzabal, 70, of Edna, passed from this earth on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

     George was born August 10, 1952 to the late Frank and Beatrice Orzabal. He worked as a general mechanic. Riding his motorcycle and driving his old truck was what he loved best. George was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

     George leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 36 years, Georgia L. Orzabal; his son Michael Orzabal and fiance Cindy Rodriquez; step-children Anthony, Rodney, Jesse, Roderick, and Nola Rodriquez; siblings Bea, Lilly, Del, and Frank Orzabal.

     George was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Beatrice Orzabal; his cousin Raymond Orzabal, and his nephew Leonard Minjarez.

     Friends and family gathered for a visitation on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Grace Funeral Home. A Rosary was recited following the visitation. A Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church on Friday, January 20, 2023. Burial followed at the Edna Latin American Cemetary. 

     Honoring George by serving as pallbearers were Robert Minjarez, Frank Zimmerman, Troy Orzabal, Luis Garcia, Robert Orzabal, and Anthony Rodriquez. Honorary pallbearers were Seth Minjarez, Bruce Zimmerman, and Dominic Hernandez.
