Gilford Taylor Roberson III

    Gilford Roberson III, 75, of Edna, was born on Aug. 7, 1943 to Gilford Roberson Jr. and Alice Koop Roberson. Gilford passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.     He is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Nordin Roberson; daughter Shari (Brett) Belmarez; son Rodney (Sheryl) Roberson; three grandchildren, Addison, Emmerson and Roberson Belmarez,; and two great-grandchildren, Zech and Zoey Sembera.     Gilford is preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Harvey Roberson and sister  Patsy Lueckemeyer.     Pallbearers are Russell Johnson, Dwayne Taylor, Kevin Stancik, Darrell Slatter, Oscar Hinojosa and Ray Young.     Visitation is Friday, Sept. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel followed by a family service at the Roberson Family Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 15 with family friend Dwayne Taylor officiating.     Services have been entrusted to family friend Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.
