Joyce Campbell

    Joyce Elaine Campbell, of Edna, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the age of 85. She was born in Weimer, Texas on August 10, 1932, to the late Albert B. Kennedy and Milda Anna Berger Kennedy.     Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.     Joyce is survived by her children, Beverly Poindexter (Roy), Cathy Johnson, Perry Campbell, Jr., and Marcus Campbell (Cindy); grandchildren, Steven Jesurun, David Jesurun, Griff Poindexter, Ariana Poindexter, Luke Johnson, Andrea Campbell, Cassandra Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Tanner Campbell (Lauren), and Trevor Campbell; great-grandchildren; Jade Jesurun, Tyler Jesurun, Carlie Jesurun, and Tessa Jesurun.     In addition to her parents Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Perry Campbell, Sr.; son-in-law, Steve Jesurun; brother, Marvin Kennedy; dear friend and companion, Jamie Curlee.     Visitation will be Friday, June 8, from noon to 1 p.m., with a funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna with the Rev. Robert Krause officiating.     Pallbearers are Steven Jesurun, David Jesurun, Griff Poindexter, Luke Johnson, Ty Cromartie, and Thomas Campbell. Honorary pallbearers are Homer and Margaret Perez, Cassandra Campbell, Tanner Campbell, Lauren Campbell, and Trevor Campbell.     Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Edna, 309 Cottonwood St. Edna, Texas 77957.     The family would like to thank Norma and Carter Home Health for all the care that was received.       Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. 361-782-2221.
