Kay Coleman Smith

     Kay Adeline Coleman Smith, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the age of 66. She was born in Ganado, Texas on November 1, 1955, to the late Willis “Bob” Keen and Emma Laughman Keen.

    Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

    Kay is survived by her son, David Coleman (Tracey) of Edna, Texas; her daughter, Stacey Coleman of Edna, Texas; and sister, Natha Ricks of Ganado, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Taylor, Dylan, Kaitlyn, and Savannah Coleman and Micah, Jaden, Lizzie, and Sophie Powell; and 2 great- grandchildren, Azaylea and Ilianna.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Emma Keen; her husband, John Smith; sister, Maxine Ricks; and brothers, James Michael Ricks and Forrest Wylie Ricks.

    Pallbearers are Micah Coleman, Chris Coleman, Carl Coleman, Jr., James Garretson, Dylan Coleman, and Brandon Coleman.

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., also in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, Texas. Pastor Aaron Glaeske will officiate.
