Lillie Mae Shafer
Lillie Mae Shafer, 87, of Lolita went to the Lord surrounded by her family on Aug. 15, 2018. Lillie Mae was born to the late Jim Polosek and Agnes Walton and her stepfather, Paul Gaydos on Nov. 29, 1930 in Floresville, Texas. Lillie Mae is survived by her husband, R.L. Shafer of 72 years; four children, Linda Valenta, Tyann Fowler, Timothy Shafer, Lamar Shafer; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Angie Smith, Dorthy Fuselier, Frank Gaydos and Pauline Strakos. A viewing was held on Friday, Aug. 17, from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation was Saturday, August 18 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Port Lavaca Church of Christ with funeral services at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial followed in Greenlawn Gardens. Pallbearers were Dalton Shafer, Dylan Hase, Daylon, Derrek and Hunter Fowler and Steffin and Noah Shafer. Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brother and brothers-in-law.
