Lilly Belle Pearce

    Lilly Bell Pearce, of Palacios, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at the age of 97. She was born in Markham, Texas on February 13, 1920, to the late Rowan Green and Neta Ruth Drake Green.     Lilly was a retired school teacher. She will be greatly missed by her son, daughter-in-law’s, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.     Lilly is survived by her son, Ronald Beaty and his wife Marilyn; daughter-in-law, Doris Beaty; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.     In addition to her parents Lilly is preceded in death by her husbands, James Beaty, Thurman Dean, and Harold B. Pearce; son, Gerald Beaty; granddaughter, Joy Beaty, sisters, Dorothy Jones and June Bowen; brother, Russell Green.     Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 9 -10 a.m., with a funeral service to begin at 10 a.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Burial to follow in the Hawley Cemetery of Blessing. Mr. Shan Jackson will be officiating.     Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. 361-782-2221.
