Louis Figirova

     Louis Figirova, of Edna, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 59. He was born June 20, 1964, in Ganado, Texas, to Thomas Figirova and Lupe Montez Figirova.

     Louis was a loving husband, father, and brother who deeply cherished his family and friends and will be dearly missed. The genuine and sincere kindness, joy, and happiness exuberated in his heart was fully shared and known with all who crossed his path through his dynamic zeal for life and love of laughter. Known throughout the community for bringing laughter and joy, the impact of his presence and personality will truly be felt and missed.

     Louis is survived by his wife, Virginia Figirova; sons, Jonathan Figirova, Brandon Figirova, and Isaiah Figirova; brothers, Billy Figirova and Jerry Figirova (Elva); and sister, Karen Figirova, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who love him dearly.

     He is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Lupe Figirova; grandparents, Pedro and Louisa Figirova, and Lelo Montez and Rosa Garza.

     There will be a visitation in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, starting at 11 a.m. followed by special music and message at 1 p.m. Burial is to follow at the Latin American Cemetery of Edna. Pastors Tony Velasquez and Danny Pena will be officiating.

     Pallbearers will be Jonathan Figirova, Brandon Figirova, Isaiah Figirova, Jerry Figirova, CC Reese, and Miguel Nieto.
