Louise Browning
Louise Julia Cernota Browning, of Edna, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of Thursday, October 5, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 28, 1936 in Midfield, Texas to the late Emil Louis Cernota and Julia Frances Macha Cernota. Louise grew up in Ganado, she studied to be a surgery tech and worked in the operating room for many years at the Ganado and Edna hospitals. She also worked as a nurse at the nursing homes. Louise was full of life and was always ready to go on an adventure – work or fun. She loved her grandchildren, genealogy, sewing, quilting, traveling, and sitting around the table drinking coffee with family and friends, she never met a stranger. She also attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edna. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. Louise is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Richard E. Browning of Edna; daughter, Anna Louise Browning Arnold and her husband Michael; son, Bradford Lee Browning and his wife Cathy; sister, Evelyn Tegeler and her husband Wilfred; her five grandchildren, Katrina Lane and her husband Mark, Justin Browning and his wife Lisa, Kelley Browning, Denae Hajovsky, and Dylan Arnold; eight great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and numerous wonderful friends and family. Louise is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel of Edna. Rev. Paul Keiser will be officiating. Burial to follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
