Mary L. Skoruppa

Mary L. (Lucille) Skoruppa went to be with the Lord, Feb. 26, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born Feb. 1, 1932 in Edna to Albert and Mary Downs.     She is survived by her daughters Glenda (Joe) Genzer, Beverly (Eddy) Hollander, Sharon (Joe) Reyna; sister Altha "Pinky" Milby;  eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.     She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter Skoruppa, two brothers and two sisters.     Lucille was married in Edna in 1950. She graduated high school in 1951. She worked for 13 years for VISD in food service, 12 of those years as the "Donut Lady" at the Stroman snack bar. She loved deer hunting, enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and, of course, she was very active in her church activities at First Baptist Church.     Pallbearers were Jimmy Joe Genzer, Rick Hollander, Robert Briscoe, Robert Beard, Tanner Sexton, and Ervin Briscoe. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Genzer, Eddy Hollander, Joe Reyna, and Hunter Baros.     Visitation was Feb. 28 at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services were March 1 at Grace Funeral Home.
