Ned Harrison

    Ned Weimer Harrison, 96, passed away March 25, 2018. Ned was born Nov. 6, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to the late Bess Weimer (Wolford) Harrison and Lester Wolford. Ned was adopted by Edgar B. Harrison in 1942.     Ned joined the United States Army and was a glider pilot and served during WWII and was stationed in India and Burma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Petroleum Engineering degree. He married Hazel B. Poos and had a son William Weimer Harrison. Ned worked for Shell Oil Company until retirement and then consulted for several oil companies. He became president of a small oil company in Abilene. After retirement he moved to Kingsland, Texas where his wife passed away. He remarried Eileen Shelby, who just recently passed away. For the last several years he lived in an assisted living home in Victoria.     Ned is survived by his son, William Harrison and wife, Susan and 4 grandchildren, Paul, Rachel, Dan and Anna Beth.     Inurnment will be held at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Marble Falls at a later date.     Words of comfort may be shared at www.rosewoodfuneralchapel.com.
