Peggy Jeannette Gandy
Peggy Jeannette Gandy of Tomball, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 25th, at the age of 84. She was born in Houston, Texas, on March 8th, 1939, to the late Howard Fog Thompson and Rebecca Jeannette Ergle Thompson.
Jeannette graduated from Edna High School and moved to Houston to attend business school. On April 13, 1963, she married the love of her life, Roland Gandy. She was employed by Dow Chemical Company followed by Exxon Mobil. She retired from Exxon Mobil in 2002 and began the next chapter of her life taking care of her grandchildren and joining her beloved husband Roland on out-of-town jobs. Jeannette and Roland enjoyed traveling with her brother, Howard Thompson and his wife Evelyn. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be truly missed.
Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Tina Gandy Dickerson and husband Patrick of Tomball; daughter, Tammy Gandy Schronk and husband Chris of Round Rock; brother, Howard Thompson; and grandchildren Taylor Gandy Mohr and husband Ryan; Avery Dickerson, Mason Schronk and Tyler Schronk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roland Archie Gandy and her brother, Bobby Joe Thompson.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, with funeral services directly following at 11 a.m., all in Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna, Tx. Burial followed at Ganado Cemetery, in Ganado, Tx.
