Thomas Jahns

    Thomas Jahns, 82 of Ganado passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017. He was born May 27, 1935 in Seguin, Texas to Alfred and Mary Reimer Jahns.     Thomas is survived by his daughter Peggy (David) Radford and son Everett Jones; granddaughter Crystal (Jeff) Todish; grandson Ricky (Megan) Chisum; great-grandchildren, Ella and Connor Todish and Aiden, Cash and Adeline Chisum; and long time friend and companion Joyce Green. He is also survived by his sisters, Beatrice Brady and Patricia (Andy) Hildebrand; brothers, Lawrence (Jewel) Jahns and Dennis (Sherry) Jahns.     Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Sue Upton Jahns; sons, Mikey Jahns and Jerry Jones; and sister Valerie Bauer.     Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ganado Funeral Home Chapel. The graveside funeral service was Monday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Ganado City Cemetery with Pastor Chris Heinold officiating.     Pallbearers were Dennis Matus, Kenny Ray Brakefield, James Webel, Charlie Rhoades, Lynn Kramer, Ricky Chisum, and Jeff Todish.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Houston Hospice at 1905 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030.     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.
