Walter Eddie Janssen Sr.

Walter Eddie Janssen Sr., 93, of Ganado passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1926 in Yoakum to Henry Janssen and Augusta Gerjes Janssen. On Nov. 9, 1964 Walter married the love of his life, Evelyn Frysak, and together they raised their two children, Shirley Ann and Walter Jr.     

Walter is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son Walter Jr.; sisters, Edna Stanford and Velma Howard.     

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Shirley Ann Janssen Crisp; sister Evelyn Stojanek; and brothers Alfred Janssen and Ernest Janssen.        

Visitation was Wednesday, July 24 at 9 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado with Rev. Kerby Hlavaty officiating. Interment followed at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado.
