Willie Mae Phillips
Willie Mae Phillips, 94, of Pflugerville, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. She was born on Aug. 30, 1924 to Emil and Frances Zalman Stuchley.
Willie Mae lived in Vanderbilt for 65 years. Willie Mae was a telegraph operator for the railroad for 20 years.
Willie Mae is survived by her children, Janet Kagy and husband, Carl; Charles Phillips and Joseph Phillips and wife, Darla; her three grandchildren, Miranda, Ricky, and Amber; and two great-grandchildren, Fulton and Judith. She is preceded in death by her parents; Frances Zalman Stuchley and Emil Stuchley, her husband, D.W. Phillips, her sisters, Lillian Dulock and Virginia Lednicky; and brothers, John, Victor, and Herbert.
There will be a visitation on Friday, July 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 6 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Bosco Catholic Church in Vanderbilt, with the Rev. Johnson officiating, followed by interment in Memory Gardens of Edna.
