All Jackson County teams back in action on Friday night
All three Jackson County football teams will be back on the field on Friday night after Industrial and Ganado had a bye last week.
Ganado (1-2) will begin district play by hosting Refugio (3-1).Ganado is ranked 69 in 2A-D1. Refugio enters the game ranked #3. Last week, the Bobcats lost 21-17 to Navarro, the #6 ranked team in 4A-D2. Navarro was the only team to defeat Refugio last season. Last season, the Bobcats defeated Ganado 62-0.
Edna (2-3, 0-1) will host Palacios (1-3, 0-2). Edna lost their district opener to Yoakum last week, while the Sharks have district losses to Hallettsville and Rice. The Cowboys enter the game ranked 27 in 3A-D1. Palacios is ranked 71. Last season Edna defeated Palacios 31-6.
Industrial (3-1, 0-1) will travel to Rice Consolidated (3-2, 1-1) to play the Raiders in the Cobra's second district game. Industrial lost their district opener to Van Vleck. Rice lost their district match up with Van Vleck and beat Palacios. The Cobras are ranked 57 in 3A-D1 and Rice is ranked 32. Last season Rice defeated the Cobras 31-0.
