So it all comes down to this.

Tonight the Edna Cowgirls host Yoakum at 6:15 in a win-and-you’re-in game to close out district play. The winner of this game will lock up the third spot in district play.

Tidehaven is tied with Edna and Yoakum at 8-5 and they face Hallettsville tonight (10-3). If Tidehaven knocks off Hallettsville, they will take the final playoff spot. If Tidehaven loses, both Edna and Yoakum would enter the playoffs as both teams won both head-to-head match-ups against Tidehaven.

Edna lost a close game, 51-48, to Yoakum the first round of district play.

The Ganado Maidens have clinched at least a tie for a playoff spot. If they beat Bloomington tonight (2-9), the Maidens will lock up the third place spot. If they lose, they would fall into either a two-way, or three-way tie, depending on how other games go. Easiest scenario for the Maidens is to win tonight.

Industrial will finish their season tonight when they host Rice at 6:15.

The girls Bi-District playoff games will be played at the beginning of next week.

With three games remaining for the boys, the playoff picture will become a lot clearer after tonight.

The Cowboys (10-1) sit in first place, a half-game in front of Columbus (10-2). Both Edna and Columbus have locked up two of the four playoff spots. If Edna wins tonight, at home against Yoakum (3-7) at 7:30, they will assure themselves of either first or second in district entering the playoffs. If the Cowboys win tonight, the Friday night game when they host Columbus, will be for the district title.

Industrial and Hallettsville, both at 7-4, are tied for the final two playoff spots. If Hallettsville defeats Tidehaven tonight, that would put the Brahmas and the Cobras in the playoffs, leaving only seeding to be determined. The Cobras can also lock up a playoff spot if they defeat Rice (3-8), who they host tonight at 7:30.

The Ganado Indians are currently sitting in a tie for the final playoff spot in their district. Ganado (4-5) will host Bloomington (1-9) tonight at 7:30. An Indian win tonight will clinch at least a tie for a playoff spot. It is very important the Indians win tonight as they finish their season hosting third place Shiner (7-2) and then at district leading Flatonia (9-0).

If Ganado wins two of their final three, they assure themselves of a playoff spot or if the Indians win tonight and Louise (3-6) loses two of their last three, the Indians will earn a playoff spot.
