After suffering a difficult 48-10 loss to Industrial to start district play, the Maidens fought back to even their district record at 1-1 after defeating the Bloomington Bobcats 47-26.
After one quarter, the Maidens lead 10-5 but opened up a little distance with a 22-12 halftime lead. The second half, Ganado really went to work. After three, they opened up a 35- 19 lead and then kept adding on for the 21 point victory.
Kira Cardenas helped the Maidens open up the lead.
“We played a lot better than the last game,” Cardenas said. “I made four threes tonight and it was special because that never really happens.”
