Edna High School senior Layla Perry signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Victoria College.
Volleyball is a sport Perry has always enjoyed, so when the college offered her a position, she “immediately jumped and took it,” she said.
Perry planned on attending Victoria College for her basics anyways, so her decision to play ball there was simple.
Joining her is high school teammate Cassidy Brown.
While attending college Perry plans to studying nursing so she can become a Nurse Practitioner.
“Going from seventh grade C team to the option to play volleyball in college is a picture of hard work, coaches who never gave up on me, and a family that supports me along the way,” she said in her speech.
